Elégie et Elévation

pour trombone et orchestre

        Oeuvre écrite à la mémoire de Vincent Palma, tromboniste étudiant au Conservatoire de Toulouse, décédé à l'âge de 19 ans dans un accident de voiture.

        La création aurait dû avoir lieue en mars 2008, au Conservatoire de Toulouse, sous la direction de Georges Prêtre ; mais, malheureusement, nous devons reporter celle-ci à plus tard (la partition étant plutôt difficile, et le temps manquant pour les répétitions).
        Ce qui me laisse d'ailleurs un moment pour encore modifier et corriger des choses dont je ne suis guère satisfait.

        Il est possible de ne jouer que l'Elévation, 2e partie de l'oeuvre, dans laquelle le pupitre des bois ne joue pas. L'oeuvre se terminant par une sorte de choral de cuivres, duquel sort un 1^er trombone qui fait echo au trombone soliste.

       Score composed in memory of Vincent Palma, trombone player who studied at the Conservatory of Toulouse, deceased at the age of 19 in a car accident.

       The premiere was schedulded in March 2008, at the Conservatory of Toulouse, under baton Georges Prêtre ; but, unfortunately, it will be transfered later (the score being a bit hard for the orchestra, and the time missing for rehearsals).
        That gives me more time to modify and correct again some things I'm not satisfied with.

        It's possible to play only the "Elévation", 2^nd part of the work, in which the woodwinds don't play. The work ends with a kind of choral for brasses, from which the 1^st trombone goes out for an echo to the soloist.
